Hey, I’m Harshitha.

I’m a Senior Cloud and DevOps Engineer based in Bengaluru, helping teams build and operate reliable systems at scale. I’m drawn to the challenge of turning complexity into clarity — whether that’s through automation, thoughtful architecture, or simply asking better questions.

But that’s only part of the story.

The Other Part

For several years, I’ve maintained a yogic sadhana. What began as curiosity gradually became a foundation. The mat is one of the few places where I’m not trying to optimize, automate, or improve anything. I simply show up.

I also write.

Sometimes it’s technical writing about cloud infrastructure and lessons learned from building systems. Sometimes it’s personal essays about life, travel, grief, growth, and the things I’m trying to understand a little better. Occasionally it’s poetry: when thoughts arrive that don’t fit neatly into prose.

I’ve come to realize that these things aren’t separate from engineering. The discipline of a daily practice, the patience required for long-form writing, and the attention to detail that poetry demands all find their way back into the systems I build.

I’m endlessly curious about how things work — whether that’s a distributed system, a new culture, a piece of music, or my own mind.

What I Believe

The most meaningful things in life can’t be optimized.

Relationships. Presence. Wonder. Creativity. The ability to sit quietly with yourself.

Growth isn’t always about becoming more. Sometimes it’s about returning to what matters and letting go of what doesn’t.

I believe that kindness is rarely wasted, curiosity keeps us humble, and real connection is one of life’s greatest gifts.

The older I get, the less interested I am in having all the answers and the more interested I am in paying attention — to people, to nature, to my own thoughts, and to the world around me.

I try to move through life with curiosity, kindness, presence, and a willingness to keep learning.

Engineering taught me how to think. Life continues to teach me how to see.

A Few Things I Love

• Traveling, experiencing different cultures, and meeting people whose stories change the way I see the world.
• Nature in all its forms — from quiet gardens to mountains, forests, and wildlife safaris that remind me how beautifully vast our planet is.
• Formula 1, for its blend of engineering, strategy, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of marginal gains.
• Science fiction, books, and documentaries that spark curiosity and make me wonder what else is possible. David Attenborough’s Our Planet series will always have a special place in my heart.
• Music that matches the moment — from Carnatic and Hindustani classical to Bollywood, film scores, and Taylor Swift. I’m also hoping to find my way back to dance one day.
• A good cup of coffee or chai — before the first kubectl of the day, and a matcha as a midday reset.
• Homemade Indian food will always be my first love, though I’m equally happy exploring great Italian, Asian, and Mexican cuisine — always vegetarian.
• I find joy in craftsmanship — in things made thoughtfully, patiently, and with intention.
